Chiang Mai, Thailand – The Faculty of Mass Communication, Chiang Mai University, achieved a remarkable milestone with the successful hosting of the 20th Chinese Internet Research Conference, titled “The Chinese Internet in the Global South: Flows, Frictions, and Futures.” The conference took place from July 12th to 14th, 2566 (2023) at the Communication Innovation Center, in collaboration with Digital Asia Hub, marking the first time this prestigious event has been held in Thailand.
Over the course of three days, the conference featured a comprehensive exploration of the various dimensions, impacts, and relationships of the Chinese internet on the countries of the global south. Approximately 150 people attended the conference in person and via the Zoom Cloud Meeting. A total of 47 research papers were presented, representing more than 30 educational institutions. The diverse range of topics provided valuable insights into the rapidly evolving landscape of internet technology and its influence on global societies.
The 20th Chinese Internet Research Conference stands as a testament to the growing significance of the Chinese internet and its impact on the global South. By bringing together leading scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world, this event has sparked meaningful discussions, inspired new ideas, and set the stage for future collaborations that will shape the field of communication technology.
ประสบความสำเร็จอย่างสวยงามสำหรับการประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติ The 20th Chinese Internet Research Conference – The Chinese Internet in the Global South: Flows, Frictions, and Futures ระหว่างวันที่ 12 – 14 กรกฎาคม 2566 ณ อาคารศูนย์นวัตกรรมการสื่อสาร คณะการสื่อสารมวลชน มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ ซึ่งคณะการสื่อสารมวลชนได้ลงนามความร่วมมือกับ Digital Asia Hub เพื่อจัดการประชุมดังกล่าวเป็นครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย โดยทั้ง 3 วัน มีการนำเสนอบทความที่ศึกษาเกี่ยวกับทิศทาง ผลกระทบ และความสัมพันธ์ของสื่ออินเทอร์เน็ตจากประเทศจีนที่มีต่อมิติต่าง ๆ ของกลุ่มประเทศโลกตะวันตก จำนวน 48 บทความ จากกว่า 30 สถาบันการศึกษา ภายในงานมีการจัดกิจกรรมอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการเพื่อสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือและต่อยอดการศึกษาด้านเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารในอนาคต
